Facial Recognition Technology Comes To Chrysler
Is there a perfect way for a car to recognise the person behind the wheel? Well, Chrysler is working on a perfect answer to this by providing a facial recognition software for new cars.
According to a Panasonic Automotive Associates, the software is robust enough to recognize motorists even if they get a new haircut or put on glasses.
The Portal has already been launched earlier this month at CES technology expo.
A camera behind the steering wheel will scan the driver’s face. This will enable the car call up the driver’s profile. His favorite radio stations, seat position, address book, calendar, etc.
The Driver’s profile will be stored in the cloud and for subsequent trips, an exterior camera positioned over the B-pillar would identify the driver walking to the vehicle and adjust the seat, radio and preferred climate control before the driver is seated.
“Fiat Chrysler is evaluating it, and we are showing pieces of this solution to other automakers.” Don Turner, Panasonic Automotive’s associate director of advanced engineering.
This implies that not only Chrysler will be using the technology, though they might be the first to feature it in their next new cars.
Also the security features of the new Technology will help to curb the rate of car theft and hijacking.

Cool tech….
One question…wud it b equipped well enof to curb crimes? Such as alert the owner via a key fob buzz or dail 911 and Dt sort of tin?
If yes…then u have an ultimate machine…
