French President Emmanuel Macron’s new Presidential DS N°8 makes first official appearance at Victory Day.

Emmanuel Macron becomes the world’s first President of a Republic to have a 100% electric car as Official State Car.

Presidential DS N°8 boasts an illuminated DS Luminascreeen grille with the Blue, White and Red of the French Republic.

Other exterior details include a Sapphire Blue finish, retractable soft top, Blue-White-Red badges as well as fitting flag holders.

French President Emmanuel Macron’s all-new official State Car, the all-electric Presidential DS N°8 made its first official appearance on Thursday at the 8 May 1945 Armistice Remembrance.

Following his participation on the 80th anniversary of the Victory Day in Presidential DS N°8, Emmanuel Macron becomes the world’s first President of a Republic to have a 100% electric car as Official State Car.

“The 8 is in the spotlight: Presidential DS N°8, on the day of the 80th anniversary of the 8 May 1945 Victory Day, continues the line of special DS models acclaimed by the Presidency of the Republic for nearly 70 years,” said Xavier Peugeot, DS Automobiles CEO.

For the 8 May 1945 remembrance, DS Automobiles created a new vehicle with a unique design adapted for parade – allowing the Head of State of France to be as close to the French people as possible.

Unlike the base DS 8 going on sale in September 2025, the Presidential DS N°8 boasts an illuminated DS Luminascreeen Grille with the Blue, White and Red of the French Republic.

Other exterior details include a Sapphire Blue finish, retractable soft top, special Blue-White-Red badges that also finish off the front and rear of the car as well as fitting flag holders at the tips of the front bumper.

The all-electric Presidential DS N°8 boasts a battery-pack that allows it to travel up to 750 kilometers on a single charge. It can recover 200 km of range in just 10 minutes of charging – and goes from 20 percent to 80 percent of charge in just 27 minutes.
