Lexus LC 500 Gets TRD Upgrades And The Looks Are Good (Photos)

Amongst the sports car Lexus has ever made, the LC 500 is arguably a beauty to behold but that doesn’t stop TRD from touching it. And they sure did with the aesthetics and fascia to give it a  more sporty look. But the only disadvantage is that its available only for the Japanese market.

Although with all the kits fitted, the styling isn’t really affected as anyone will still recognise it’s an LC 500. From the wheels, they now come in 21 inches which are lighter than the standard alloys and have greater rigidity. Owners can also opt for a performance damper that likely enables sharper handling. TRD doesn’t go into any details about what this upgrade actually consists of. Other notable upgrades include the rear wing or spoiler, along with a new diffuser and reshaped side mirror covers to reduce wind noise.

The aerodynamics of the car can be further improved by getting the modified side skirts reducing the amount of wind sent to the rear tires. It brings benefits not just in terms of wind noise, but also as far as fuel consumption is concerned.

On the engine department, TRD has left it alone, so the 5.0-litre V8 that outputs 471 hp is still intact. It is mated with a 10-speed automatic transmission standard. Rumours have it that Lexus is planning an even powerful model probably the LC F with a 650hp.
