Porsche Unveils Real-life Version Of The Cayenne Turbo GT Driven In ‘Resident Evil Requiem’ Video Game

Porsche has unveiled a one-of-a-kind, real-world version of the Cayenne Turbo GT that will be driven by federal agent Leon S. Kennedy in the newly released Resident Evil Requiem – the latest outing in the legendary video game franchise.
Unveiled on February 19 in Los Angeles, the show car features specially designed add-on parts created together with Capcom, the Japanese video game developer known for creating iconic, multi-million-selling franchises like Resident Evil and Street Fighter.
“In Resident Evil Requiem, players accompany Leon S. Kennedy on a dangerous investigation in a mysterious setting. The Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT is his vehicle of choice, because its performance, design, and presence mirror the protagonist’s determination and distinctive style,” Porsche said in a statement.
Following its debut, the unique version of the Porsche performance SUV is currently touring shows and events across the world so fans can get up close to the four-wheeled star of the new game.
“An iconic character like Leon and a vehicle as powerful as the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT make for a perfect match,” says Deniz Keskin, Director of Brand Management & Partnerships at Porsche AG.
“Seeing this collaboration come to life not only on screen, but also in the form of an actual show car is something we’re genuinely excited about… Applying game design ideas to a real-world vehicle was a challenging effort which required close alignment between teams on both sides,” Keskin adds.
Like the Cayenne Turbo GT available to customers in the US market, the one-off car features a 4.0-litre petrol engine that produces a wild 650 hp of power and a maximum torque of 626 lb-ft.
This powertrain powers the Cayenne Turbo GT from 0-60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and on to a top-speed of 190 mph (306 km/h), which is enough to keep Leon S. Kennedy safe on the dangerous mission that’s at the heart of Resident Evil Requiem.
