Cadillac Makes Super Cruise Standard But Raises The Price Of The 2026 Lyriq

Cadillac is enhancing the Lyriq SUV for the 2026 model year by making its Super Cruise hands-free driving technology standard across all trims. Although the starting price will increase slightly, the inclusion of this feature adds significant value to the popular electric vehicle.

In 2026, Cadillac is simplifying its trim structure with new names: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Signature Luxury, and their Sport counterparts. The base “Luxury” trim will start at €50,500, a €516 increase from 2025, while the entry-level “Sport” trim will start at €51,000, also reflecting a €516 rise.

While the base models get a slight price hike, some mid-tier trims will cost less. The new Premium Luxury and Premium Sport models, which replace last year’s “Luxury 2” and “Sport 2,” see their prices dip to €53,900 and €54,400, respectively. At the top of the range, the Signature Luxury and Signature Sport models receive a €687 increase, now starting at €57,900 and €58,300.

Prospective buyers will be pleased to know that Super Cruise is now a standard feature rather than a paid option. Previously, it was only available on higher trim levels. This advanced driver-assistance system allows hands-free driving on many compatible highways in the U.S. and Canada. Additionally, all models now include Hitch Guidance and Hitch View to make towing easier.

The Cadillac Lyriq stands as a visually distinct option among electric cars. It measures 4,996 mm in length, 1,976 mm in width, and 1,623 mm in height, with a generous wheelbase of 3,094 mm. Inside, the cabin is dominated by a sweeping 33-inch advanced LED display that serves as both the instrument cluster and infotainment hub.

In the busy market of premium EVs, the 2026 Lyriq’s revised starting price is higher than its smaller sibling, the 2026 Cadillac Optiq, which begins at €46,430. But when measured against its direct rivals, the Lyriq’s value proposition becomes apparent—it undercuts prominent competitors like the Porsche Macan Electric, which starts at approximately €64,300, and the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV, with its €66,500.
