Gov Sanwo-Olu takes a ride inside Oba of Benin’s Rolls-Royce Phantom during the monarch’s visit to Lagos.
The picture was taken ahead of their visit to J Randle Center for Arts & Culture, where the rich Yoruba heritage is showcased.
The Oba of Benin, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, on Sunday November 26th paid a visit to Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the Lagos House in Marina.
While congratulating the lagos state Governor on his reelection, the revered Monarch also noted that the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 presidential poll showed that God ordained him to rule the country.
“Honoured to host His Royal Majesty, Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Ewuare II of Benin, a king among kings this beautiful Sunday at Lagos House, Marina,” Sanwo-Olu said in a post shared on his official X page.
“The visit by The Oba of Benin reaffirms our commitment to cultural harmony and collaboration between Lagos and Edo. Grateful for the opportunity to strengthen bonds and celebrate our shared heritage.”
One of the pictures taken during the visit shows Lagos State Governor and the traditional ruler striking a pose inside a Rolls-Royce Phantom 7 ultra-luxury sedan, which belonged to the first-class Benin monarch.
The iconic picture, shared by Sanwo-Olu, was taken ahead of their visit to J Randle Center for Arts & Culture, where the rich Yoruba heritage is showcased.
“As part of the activities to welcome and honour His Royal Majesty, Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Ewuare II of Benin, I took him on a tour of the J Randle Center for Arts & Culture showcasing the rich Yoruba heritage,” Sanwo-Olu added.
