Toyota Gives Used GR Yaris A Tune Up For A Fee

The Toyota GR Yaris initially featured a 261 hp and 360 Nm 1.6-litre three-cylinder engine, but following a refresh, the little speedster squeezes a whopping 280 hp and 390 Nm out of its relatively compact block. We can’t imagine there are any disappointed GR Yaris owners at all, but of course, it’s nice if your slightly older GR Yaris can also benefit a bit from the update. And now it can! Toyota is offering a so-called ‘Factory Tuning’ package, where the torque of the 2020-2023 GR Yaris increases to 380 Nm. Not quite exactly what the current model does, but still a step closer.
However, it doesn’t stop there: you can also have the settings adjusted. You can opt for Rally (fast throttle response, light steering feel, and 55:45 four-wheel drive distribution), B-Road (fast throttle response, heavy steering feel, and 50:50 four-wheel drive distribution), or Race (medium throttle response, heavy steering feel, and 45:55 four-wheel drive distribution). If your ultimate combination isn’t among those options, you can also choose your own custom setting in consultation with the dealer. The price: €945.
