Toyota Launches Bronze Edition Highlander Hybrid With Bronze Wheels And Other Extras (Photos)

If the Toyota Highlander wasn’t exciting enough to look at for you, Toyota is angling for a solution. Today, the 2022 Toyota Highlander Bronze Edition is being revealed to bring a touch of spunk to the Highlander’s lineup. It’s essentially an appearance package for the Highlander Hybrid model, which it is exclusively paired with.
The Bronze Edition is available with the exclusive colour Cement grey or Wind Chill Pearl, which is a new shade for the 2022 Highlander range. Regardless of the exterior hue, the crossover gets 18-inch wheels with a five-spoke design and a bronze finish. There are bigger changes on the inside. The cabin has bronze-coloured stitching, and there are illuminated door sill plates in a matching colour. The seats feature textured inserts in the centre, which Toyota says is inspired by mid-century-modern style, but seeing that styling motif seems like a stretch to us. The floor and cargo mats get a bronze logo.
On the engine, the 2022 Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition is equipped with a 2.5-litre DOHC four-cylinder engine with two electric motors. The gas engine employs a Variable Valve Timing-intelligent system by Electric motor (VVT-iE) on the intake camshaft, and VVT-i on the exhaust camshaft. A variable cooling system (electric water pump, electric thermostat) and a fully variable oil pump help to further enhance engine efficiency. It will be available in front or all-wheel-drive setup.
No word on pricing yet for 2022 Toyota Highlander grades. MSRP should be between Highlander Hybrid XLE and Highlander Hybrid Limited.
