NRC Suspends 8:00 A.M. Train Ride From Ujevwu In Delta From January 17th
NRC suspends 8:00 a.m. train ride from Ujevwu in Delta from January 17th due to technical glitches.
But the state-owned enterprise said that the 14:15hrs (02:15 pm) afternoon ride will continue to run.
NRC explained that efforts were in place to rectify the issues at the earliest possible time.
The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced the suspension of the 8:00 a.m. train ride from Ujevwu in Delta, starting from January 17, due to technical issues.
While announcing the suspension of the morning ride, Fidet Okhiria, NRC’s managing director, however, said that the 14:15hrs (02:15 pm) ride will continue to run. The state-owned enterprise, further explained that efforts are in place to rectify the issues at the earliest possible time.

“This is to inform the general public and most especially our esteemed passengers that due to technical hitches, the 08:00hrs train from Ujevwu station will not run from January 17”.
Mr Okhiria added :
“The 14:15hrs train will, however, continue to run. Be assured that every effort is being made to ensure that this disruption is for a minimum period of time. We regret any inconveniences this may cause our esteemed passengers.”
In the first half of 2021, the Nigerian Railway Corporation recorded record revenues of 2.12 billion naira (approximately €4.664 million), an increase of 31% over the same period in 2019, which recorded the previous record revenue.
