Incredible Milestone, Global Sales Of Toyota RAV4 SUV Surpasses 10 Million Units
Global sales of Toyota RAV4 Crossover SUV has surpassed 10 million units since its introduction 26 years ago.
In 2019, almost a million copies were sold worldwide making RAV4 not only the world’s best-selling SUV, but also the fourth best-selling passenger car.

Toyota Motor Corporation have announced that the cumulative global sales of its RAV4 SUV have surpassed 10 million units.
The Toyota RAV4, which made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show back in March 1994, officially passed the major sales mark in February 2020.

According to the Japanese automaker, it has delivered 10,080,834 Toyota RAV4 compact crossover SUVs globally.
The incredible sales milestone comes barely seven months after the ten millionth example of formidable Toyota Land Cruiser rolled off the production line.

In comparison, it took Toyota 68 years to sell ten million Land Cruisers, while the RAV4 achieved the same milestone in only 26 years.
Sales of the RAV4 keeps going from strength to strength. Last year, Toyota sold almost a million copies (965,760) of the current fifth-generation model in 2019.

More than half of this figure (535,000) went to RAV4’s biggest market, North America.
Now in the fifth-generation, the latest version features a more rugged styling, upgraded tech, and a new hybrid powertrain.

The 2020 RAV4 is available in six trim levels: LE, XLE, XLE Premium, Adventure, TRD Off-Road and Limited.
Every trim level comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that churns out the power of 203 horses.
