BMW trolls Mercedes on Halloween

On the eve of this year’s Halloween, BMW of North America took to its Instagram account to troll its old-time rival – the Mercedes-Benz.

It said:

“This Halloween any car can dress up as its favorite superhero. Happy #Halloween from #BMW. Link in bio.”

Rolls-Royce‘s parent company, BMW, also posted a similar troll on its twitter page :

“Now every car can dress up as its favorite superhero.”

Some of the pictures attached to the posts hints at the fact that the Mercedes-AMG E53 dresses up as its secret superhero – the BMW M5.

Daimler’s AG jokingly fired back to mock the massive radiator grille that comes with the M5.

It said,

“Nice one @ BMWUSA. That’s a really scary costume! Especially that radiator grille…”

The Mercedes-AMG E53 Versus The BMW M5

All three body styles of the Mercedes-AMG E53 —sedan, coupe, and convertible—share the same 429 horsepower turbocharged inline-six with electric assist. It will move to 60 mph in 4.3 secs.

In comparison, the BMW M5 Competition’s 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged engine pumps out 625 horsepower. BMW claims a 3.3-second 0-60 mph time.
